True Mr Maloney - unfortunately the generally intemperate language used on both sides of the debate can obscure perfectly valid arguments (even if one disagrees with them). The comments on Mr Soames' words were ad hominem - not helped by some of the language he used in answer, although his postings also set out cogent reasons why he acted as he did (whether one agrees with them or not).

Of course Mr Soames' views are informed by his own assessment of his personal position. Most people's views are, and it is naïve to expect anything very different. However I had expected that lawyers (of all people) would focus on the arguments, not the language.
