Post turtle has to be one of the best phrases ever.

As for the OST, of course this has an impact but it can also count against you: a pal of mine did not take the path less traveled and went from Eton to Balliol and then into a City firm. He only ended up in the city as the regional firms he wanted to join didn't want a 'posh boy'.

Now before collective there's an air from the orchestra of the world's smallest violins just pause and ask who tends to have a better education? The answer to this is generally those that go to better schools.

There is an issue as to how we allow social mobility to disrupt this cycle of entrenched privilege (more grammar schools would be my proposition) but this will never get around the basic human quality of wanting to be with 'people like us' and also being 'presentable' to the firm's clients: if your clients ride, shoot, ski, sail etc then having mutual interests and knowledge will be relevant when it comes to client relationships & etc.

If you think that this is all desperately unfair, well booo hoo go join the Labour Party where you can rail against the inequality with lots of people from privileged backgrounds who rely on nepotism and cronyism for their positions.
