Possibly, Anon, or was it because I always insured my excess with SIF? I had dealt with too many cases against solicitors where it became abundantly clear that getting £3,000 was like falling off a log, but any more and you had to work for it. Another case where those representing SIF were not spending their clients' money, but their clients' insured's money.

And we all know how all too easy that is!
