If family lawyers did not primarily stoke up confrontation between the parties over finance and children, in order to maximise their overpriced fee generation then McKenzie Friends would not be around. The whole family law sector needs overhauling so that arbitration and not the courts should be the primary method of communication. Also, the extremely liberal issuing of family law injunctions has to stop because they had complete control over communication to the family lawyers in whose financial interest a quick, amicable settlement is not an attractive outcome.
