It simply cannot be right to say that a fee earner has 6 years experience when in fact they have 2 years and consequently charge a higher hourly rate.

I fail to see how you can try an justify the situation by saying that AXA should have checked what they were being told was correct. Surely they should be able to accept at face value what they were being told by a firm of solicitors.
