The only reason insurers every ring clients is to try to prevent this sort of large scale costs fraud, no insurer wants to pay out compensation but the chance to pay it and not have to pay costs to a claimant solicitor is a price worth paying especially when faced with stories like this, the industry is corrupt to its roots and the claimant PI sector know full well the insurance industry were once bleed dry by courts in Birkenhead who failed to believe the claimant or claimant solicitors could ever commit fraud.
These reforms are long overdue and my job will be obsolete when that happens but if it shuts down numerous 100s of dodgy firms and all those who work knowing they are committing potentially fraudulent acts then good, I fully expect a raft of litigation against some large firms in the next few months.
