Seen it all before. It's been going on for years. The root cause then and now are fee-earners heavily remunerated on a "bills paid" basis where grossly inflated bills can be "discounted" with gullible Insurance handlers to induce settlements. Today, unfortunately, many DJs simply do not have the knowledge or pugnacity to stamp this out.
Well, the profession has harvested the whirlwind with fixed costs.
As for Asons, the Insurance industry should re-open its old files, get the adding machines working and start applying to the Courts to re-open every single viable matter that can be tallied.
Headmasters, in less enlightened days, would select a suitable victim for a solid thrashing...methinks one has hove into sight
