Causation - vascular surgeon

Damage - orthopaedic and possibly plastic depending on the extent of the wound. You may also need a podiatrist to comment on footwear needs albeit that would not be a consultant.

In no aspect will a registrar be able to comment. This is because the appropriate standard (apart from the nurse) is that of a consultant.

Remember that causation is critical and a huge issue in most cases.

In simple terms a Consultant opinion trumps that of a Registrar.

Goodness. This is such a worryingly ignorant comment about investigation of liability and quantum. It can only come from someone either untrained or too narrowly 'trained'
