Mr Goddard, I use a common definition for broker which is one who buys and sells on behalf of another. As far as I am aware Thompsons are not a broker for RTA insurers. If you know different kindly confirm this.

Please see Mr Crawford's post at 23:54. There is a clear comment that MOTOR insurance does not need to increase because the CLINICAL NEGLIGENCE premium paid to an ATE INSURER in this case was £50,000. From the report it was claimed at circa £32,000.

I cannot comment on what was said on Radio 4 as I did not listen to the programme. I have no doubt that insurance policies across the board will increase, as they only ever go up and not down.

I stand by my Latin as there is a clear error in linking a CLINICAL NEGLIGENCE ATE premium to the cost of RTA premiums.

Please excuse the capitalisation as this was done to clarify matters.
