Mr Goddard, that may well be the definition within that Act. But solicitors do not act as a broker for insurance companies as they cannot accept payment/commission for doing so, and would in any case fall foul of a conflict of interests.

Again, as far as I am aware Thompsons are not in the business of brokering insurance policies on behalf of motor insurers. If you say they do then that is your opinion from which I differ.
