I was always under the impression the government wanted to "outlay" whiplash claims, however, given that compensation of £2,000 can still be awarded for a 2 year whippy aren't they just taking solicitors out of the equation and now handling the work to the, mostly, dodgy CMC's? How is this going to cut down on the actual number of BI claims? if anything they could be increased if CMC's start encouraging everybody to claim if they are taking a bigger slice from the compensation awarded?

As far as the premium cuts if the Discount Rate drops as expected a £40 cut in premiums will never be seen!
