Our so called representatives (APIL/MASS/Law Society) simply failed yet again in getting the point across to the general public.

This was a done deal before the consultation and the only people that could have possibly prevented it, was the general public and national press. APIL for example have £100s thousands in the bank from its members but failed to engage with them when it was clearly necessary to do so. There should have been national press advertisements warning the public about the potential reforms and the false promises made by the ABI re discounted premiums.

Instead we had the Law Society doing an advert on 'You Tube' which had 820 views and APIL making simply press statements to the local rag magazines which had no effect whatsoever.

The main tabloids all should have had a full one page advertisement feature in them and possibly a TV campaign as well to help right the reforms.

As with previous reforms we have been simply let down again by our so called representatives. The only one that can hold their head up high is ‘Access to Justice.’
