So that is £3,725 for whiplash where the injury lasts up to two years - so if they have had £8k in loss of earnings as well, are we still in the small claims territory. How many litigants in person are actually going to wait - insurer says - "we'll get you the medical evidence after 2 weeks and then they settle the claim on the basis of the lower tariff". Are the government going to reduce insurance premium tax now as well to help out the poor hard pressed motorist who likes crashing into people.
