It is unfortunate that the significance of this story is approached by LSG and others primarily in terms of its effect on the finances of insurance companies - "Insurers hit by PI discount decision" etc. While that is important, the real significance is that seriously injured and innocent victims of accidents will now start to receive compensation assessed on a fairer and more reasonable basis. That is something the vast majority of the population will support and deserves to be emphasised in the coverage.
