The public and claimant personal injury lawyers had the insurance industry over a barrel. The insurers got their way in respect of RTA reform with potentially massive savings. Therefore, the insurers had to reduce premiums as part of the bargain. Now the Government has handed insurers the means to continue charging exorbitant premiums and continue to blame injured people and their lawyers. With the low value claimants out the way, the Gov/Insurer coalition is gunning for the seriously injured.
