I will do what I can to attend the march. I am frankly terrified by what is happening to access to justice in this country and to our so-called free democracy. Everything is dandy as long as you have cash to pay for decent legal representation and if you don't a machine will dish out a one size fits all assistance and you just have to hope there are no glitches in the programming. "Legal Support" well that can mean just about anything really. Anyone holding themselves out as a "lawyer" (this has no meaning) offering his/her "services" through this new system for the peanuts the Government is prepared to pay. Why should we be surprised after all this Goverment despises "experts" and would prefer for the public to believe that no training or experience is required for these tasks. Trouble is the "public" or large portions of it - is easily persuaded by the "song of the siren" - everything on the cheap - very attractive to believe it when you have no money - can't blame them really. However the cynicism of the politicians who endorse this attack on people's rights calls for them to be in the dock with the potential for a life sentence!
