I know sentencing is a complex beast and this is somewhat trite but...

Plenty of killers and sex offenders of various descriptions get lighter sentences than this.

So illicitly profiting from the work of a multi-national corporation (it's them who lobby for this kind of law change, afterall) is potentially more serious an offence than producing/consuming child pornography, sexually assaulting somebody or causing death by dangerous driving.
