On what basis does Josephine Bacon justify her statement that "Clearly the writer has more sympathy with terrorists than with their victims."? How does a factual and horrifying account of the outrageous miscarriage of justice suffered by two innocent men come to be interpreted as having "sympathy with terrorists"? If only half of Mr Stafford-Smith's article were true, it would still be Amanatullah Ali and Yunus Rahmatullah who are the "victims", in this case, not of terrorism, but of a justice system which purports to be the envy of the world, and which the title of his article makes clear is the target of Mr Stafford-Smith's obvious and fully-justified ire and disillusionment.
Perhaps Ms Bacon could also specify the identity of the victims for whom she suggests that Mr Stafford-Smith should have had more sympathy?
