Not only that but arguably breaching their own principles- the one about acting with integrity springs to mind. They should be aware that dishonesty should only be pleaded after careful consideration and with some evidence. And yet they expect us to accept them as the arbiter of standards. Whoever was dealing with this case should have arguably sought guidance from their ethics department as to if it was appropriate to plead dishonesty in this instance.
