So how about getting a builder to publish a list of prices for different jobs. Wouldn't it be helpful to be able to compare prices for say, an extension, or refurbishing a house. Or a decorator the price of painting the exterior of a house, or wallpapering the bedroom! Clearly it depends on the size, quality and complexity of the work, and you can't give a proper estimate without knowing the variables.
