Report comment

Further to comments regarding the PI sector and cleaning it up. I work for a MedCoTier 1 Medical Agency. This morning I received an email from a solicitor asking for their client to be re-examined by a different expert because the report that was returned to them stated the client had fully recovered within 2 months of the accident date. Part of their comments are below:

"Our client was injured due to a road traffic accident, how can there be nor prognoses. Please arrange for our client to be re-booked immediately."

If a medical expert has confirmed the client did suffer injury but has since recovered the solicitor should not be out hunting for an expert who will happily state the client is still in pain and suffering!

Experts within the PI sector get a bad reputation for 'manipulating' reports to make everything seem worse than it is, but when the decent ones actually state the truth PI solicitors want the report scrapped and a new one sourced!
