Comment

It may be old fashioned but I recall discussions in our firm about the "finders", "minders" and "grinders". There is often a place for all types and it is just a case of realising a person's forte and ensuring that is recognised. Why get rid of an excellent "grinder" when all you need to do is place him in the back office doing the work while a "minder" keeps the client happy? Trying to find the person who is all three may be excellent in management seminars but in practice they are very few and far between.
