Edgar Wagner . I have given you a thumbs up for your latest post as you clearly are a man of integrity and honesty and also , most importantly have a sense of humour .I stand by what I said about the college of law . I was there in the late sixties and I don't think that chester was even operative at that time .Almost 50 years ago , gosh it seems a long time when you say it like that but I can still remember all the guys I shared a house with in Guildford and I can also remember the lecturers who most impressed me , especially Holbrook on Conveyancing ( I think he part edited Gibson) and Passingham on Commercial law . A younger man was Ray Snow who was the commercial law lecturer . Edgar I agree with the last sentence of the final paragraph of your posting. As far as efficiency and skill of members of the "profession"I have acted for and advised very many solicitors from all over the country and from all different types of practice and all I can say is that I just wonder how many of them passed their examinations or had any clients or work after admission . A professional client once asked me what bereavement damages were - I nearly died laughing !!!
