There is a strong government led determination to let the thieves into the Temple ( and I don't mean Inner and Middle). The Law Society ought not to be dismayed. It should simply take back its regulatory function by refusing to have as a member those who do not comply with the stricter and traditional rules. Law Society membership would be a kitemark for quality and lack of it would be the hallmark of potential bentness. Not for the first time, the Law Society needs to grow a pair.
