Experts reports capped at £10,000 each, or £10,000 for the lot? I only ask, because this seems like a paltry amount if seeking evidence from a range of experts in multiple disciplines on breach, causation, condition and prognosis, and life expectancy.

I was in con with a very busy PI/clin neg silk a couple of years ago. He is instructed by both sides. He was telling me that he had had cases where a defendant's costs budget reflected fictitious estimates for disbursements. The rationale was that through these means, they could fetter the claimant's right to parity of arms, with the defendant all the while making hidden top up payments to the experts they had instructed.

No good will come of this.
