My only experience of food poisoning claims is that they are extremely difficult to prove.There are clearly evidential difficulties in establishing where the incident occurred and significant corroborative evidence is required from other families or persons who were also affected.This means that if you were on holiday you would need to find a bunch of crooked families who were prepared to commit criminal offences to assist you if the claim was not genuine.
Even if you could manage this feat causation is notoriously difficult to prove from a medico legal point of view.
I f I was an insurer I would have a policy of blanket denial except in the clearest cases.That way you would soon put these firms out of business.
