Figures in this area are never going to be accurate, since (a) some people do regard sexuality (and religion) as private matters; (b) some people may not be in a position to come out, for whatever reason; (c) a "prefer not to say" still counts as a response or declaration for diversity purposes although you cannot reliably know what lies behind that and hence infer anything from it.
