I am just an elderly ordinary member of the public and see nothing in these comments to counter my view that all reasonably perceptible opportunities for conflict of interest in lawyers work should be contrary to the professional rules of honesty and integrity and and also illegal.
And so in similar professions - medicine, accountancy, banking - where customers cannot be expected fully to understand their transactions.
