Roger Wilson, me again. As I say, my reasons for anonymity need not concern you.

I was not referring to Shoosmiths actually, we all know who the firms are nationally, and obviously there are also countless firms at regional level. If you name them you get your post deleted.

And yes, I am knowledgeable about such matters having lived and breathed this farce. And yes, for many agents (to which I am referring, and as clarified this isn't Connells) it is ALL about the money (or rather, targets) That the buyer is getting an absolute pup is neither here nor there, to the agent or their 'pet'.

Put simply, the paying (and receiving) of referral fees to these outfits will, generally, lead to problems and should be stopped. End of.

And if, as you correctly suggest, the agents can merely set up ABS then this too is patently wrong and dangerous
