"Newspapers or politicians who know all this, but choose nonetheless to personalise the role of lawyers, presumably do so in order to court cheap publicity." This only part of the press and political bias against lawyers expressed in the media on a regular basis (how often do we see "only the lawyers will get rich" - the journos who write this garbage do so for free, do they?). I consider this kind of ill-considered rhetoric a form of bigotry not far removed from racism.
