There is a huge difference between a search, an enquiry, an initial discussion and conducting a case as a litigator.
These sort of press announcements are often similar to the football related statement: " The chairman and the Board are 100% behind our manager. He has our full support and confidence". Then he gets sacked!
In this instance I have no doubt there will soon be an independent assessment stating that Direct Access is of little relevance.
Like almost every attempt at so-called "innovation", it usually isn't as fantastic as its supporters suggest.
