Solicitors do a huge amount of pro bono work. I would be happy to place a bet that it is significantly higher than those in other professions such as accountants. Yet it is still not enough.

Why not acknowledge and applaud the incredible amount of time and work the profession give for free instead of asking us to put our hands in our pockets even more.

Put a levy on corporate firms that could very well be passed on to clients, the large multinationals move their business to another jurisdiction because it is cheaper as fees in the UK are creeping up.

What with Court fees being eye wateringly high and with even more taxation on corporate firms in the form of the levy its easy to see that it will soon be too expensive to litigate anything in this country.

Why doesn't the government distribute the 100m profit they made from court fees to the law centres?
