"northshoring" is more than unbecoming is a term which is intellectually limiting for the speaker. Much like those who profess their nose will bleed if they leave zone one. Alas I used to be such an intellectually limited soul, until I grew up, widened my horizons, realised its not all about being within the M25, unless I want a poor quality of life, and wound my sorry little neck in. Now, I have no black soot up my nose (nor in fact a social attitude problem,) two homes and a balanced life, while still enjoying living in a major international city, which doesn't happen to be London. In find I recount the story, from when I worked for an international firm of how, by conferencing link, one of the London office wannabes actually said "And how are you finding this trend in the regions...?" To which I replied "well, it's playing havoc with my whippet racing schedule, but they've invented the microwave up here now, so we don't have to heat our lunches in a clay pit, with a dustbin lid on top, anymore...."
