In the same week this appears, other headlines are:
'Disgraceful' solicitor overcharged estate by 574%' and
'Barrister’ who conned dying woman jailed'
The unpleasant truth is headlines concerning dishonest solicitors and counsel appear nearly everyday now. One has to wonder how much of a threat to public safety MF really are, in the grand scheme of things. I would suggest that the two cases cited in the article pale when compared to the damage caused to the legal profession by some of those that are actually regulated. I also wonder exactly how they intend to stop MF from charging. They can stop the fee being recoverable, but I am not sure you can actually stop someone charging for their time, or their "client" from paying for it.
