You really must work for an insurer or in the insurance industry.
As the first poster said, there are bad apples but the system (Portal work) wasn't introduced by campaigning Claimant lawyers.
If insurers are so convinced there is widespread fraud (which these new proposals won't eliminate) then fight them. Don't settle them. Insurers make obscene profits each year and have the financial clout to defend any they feel are "suspicious" or "fraudulent". Don't bleat about it. Don't pay these claims off because it's more ecomonical to do so. It's fraud or not and if it's not, then don't report it as such.
