I'm a Claimant lawyer, and only two years ago I was knocked off my motorcycle by a considerate driver who didn't bother to stop. I reported my claim to my insurer and the Motor Insurers Bureau. I'm still getting calls from AMCs and 'Solicitors'. Although I will agree that it's rather hilarious when I told them I was putting the claim through myself "Oh well you won't get as much compensation if you did it yourself, you're better off using us"

"I'm sure I'll be fine, I'm quite confident."
"Can I ask why?"
"You can. I'm a PI lawyer and I've not signed myself up to a CFA".

I wonder which party (my own insurer or MIB) referred me on to these shysters?

Hilariously, when I ask who provided them with my data, they refuse to tell me...."for data protection reasons"!
