We have to do something about this ridiculous cost merry go round though.

Most of the public cant afford lawyers.

They would do if they knew what their exposure was and lawyers services were more price sensitive.

And I concede, this would apply to my services as well.

All we are doing at the moment is creating ill will amongst the population and a view that we 'spin' things out.

If Counsel are competent enough to bill £1500 when newly qualified (the price of a more junior consultant's surgery in some case), then there is something seriously wrong with our costs regime.
