"Business affairs" seems a rather woolly, generic category but with a very precise number (25,881)reporting that this is their field of practice. Does anyone else wonder what it covers?

As for "family-friendly" areas of the law, well, biologically it's still women who bear children and, generally speaking, women tend to be juggling care responsibilities (for children or older relatives) more than men; not surprising then that they will tend to avoid areas of practice that may require either very long hours or involve last-minute changes to plans. I acknowledge there are plenty of men who also juggle the demands of work and caring, and it's sad that they, like women, often don't get as much support and understanding - or promotion opportunities - as they deserve. After all (this is tongue in cheek) the parents among us are raising the next clutch of potential clients....
