Glad to read there is a move to expose judicial bullying.... early 1980's it was - can't forget being reduced to tears by a judge (in today's terms) in bid to impress I believe the young and by sheer chance attractive barrister on other side of case : 2 things - (1) the barrister opposing me apologized for Judge's behaviour afterwards (2) the next day my father (sitting as the [Red] Presiding Judge at same Court) invited me to lunch with the others... there was Judge from previous day ...can i introduce my son... 'Judge' - 'Can I apologize for yesterday..'. Delicious to see his face. Dad (later)- what was that about ? Well.... words were said. I'm sure he improved his practices. Sadly nothing has really changed though I like to think my old Dad was not in the same camp : there are some good and kindly ones who are always concerned to make the experiences of the inexperienced memorable for the right reasons.
