DJ Kramer in the County Court at Gateshead once firmly reminded a rather aggressive/excited barrister to not interrupt people (me) when they are speaking. This took place during a telephone conference. I was one year into practice, as a paralegal at the time, and had been terrified ahead of the conference of coming up against a barrister. DJ Kramer's rather small comment significantly helped my confidence and I've never forgotten it to this day.
