There will soon be a curse - "May you be a residential conveyancer"! There has been a steady rise in clients showing up without appointments the last few years despite the continual and excessive demands for email updates, which are always respond to within minutes. When I tell friends in other professions that clients regularly turn up without appointments, they look at me in amazement. What is about being a solicitor that makes people think they do not need to make an appointment?

My workload is monumental and as a consequence stressful. I was never this busy in the lead up to the banking crisis in 2008? Can this continue? It is certainly not sustainable and history has a habit of repeating itself. At least it is profitable, so hey ho!
