Anon @ 8.56 it's been a long time since I had to consider a file under the OPA or the POCA 1978 but certainly under the former included copying or sending to another and from conversation with a few pals who practice criminal law there is now a subset of perverts who 'photoshop' children's features onto otherwise legal images to make indecent images.

But in terms of the case, I can see no reason for anything other than a strike off in the present case and I have no sympathy with the offender, yes he needs to be able to work and play a meaningful role in society but that does not mean he should be allowed to remain in the profession.

As for the person suggesting a whole life tariff, good grief, get a grip.
