Anonymous @ 11:20 - I got paid more than that in Manchester at 4PQE (at an international firm) and until recently seemed to be tracking my London-based friends (at similar non-US firms) at a rate of around 2/3 their salaries. When international firms with hundreds and hundreds of lawyers are being surveyed, the majority of which get paid favourably, it is no wonder the averages get skewed when compared against local and regional firms. That said, if you have an appetite for late nights and weekend work, you are more than welcome to join the dark side!
