At the same time as flooding the market with a whole set of qualified solicitors who previously couldn't get a training contract, the SRA is going to remove the requirement for them to work under supervision and allow them to open their own firms. If they can't get PII they'll be allowed to practice anyway - as a "freelancer". And whilst the rest of us are publishing our prices, terms and conditions and complaints on our websites, the "freelancers" will be relieved of such burdensome regulation.
