At heart of this is the unwillingness of Solicitors to train, even when it is staring them in the face that someone is good (not whether they have a 'Degree' from any particularly purported esteemed establishment or went through the same Dorm-exercises or not).

The Solicitors loss will be their training regime.

When the Law Society and SIF refused to take on Mortgage Companies in the great Negligence debacle after the 1980's property boom they lost their Insurance base, vast sums of cash mutually and then knee jerk fashion raced in to demutualisation. Now they have lost many Sole P's and even shortly small / med practices (and 25 quite large businesses are on the hit list).

Between them the LS and SRA will not rest and never learn until their Insurer and Government Paymasters really do own them .....

Then for a little while the practising certificates will be paid. Until their insurer and Government Paymasters decide to dispense with their services all together.
