I suggest we all produce our passport . If you're unhappy to do so you might be an impersonator !( or be an illegal alien )
As to Mr Egan's pc remark - isn't it more pertinent that if the defendant lies about his nationality you won't be surprised if the lying doesn't stop there ! ( no prejudice intended) . Is Mr Egan more concerned with what the defendant thinks about the court's fairness than in the actual fairness of the court ? Let's get priorities in order . Can't remember many convicted defendants after verdict saying " jolly fair court that " .
