I accept that those in vulnerable in society should have protection but what about those who would like a choice, many of my business clients can decide what level of protection they want. How about we start treating our clients like adults and not like children wrapped in cotton wool. Why are sophisticated clients like lenders having gold plated insurance but are not paying a penny for it? In another post on conveyancing- solicitors come 4- 5 in the amount of money spend on it after SDLT, Estates Agents commission, search companies - yet most claims will begin and end with us. If you are really representing us, you need to do more to alleviate these sorts of concerns.
