No, Neuburger, Brexit was not all about parliamentary sovereignty - it was about the sovereignty of our Parliament over the EU Parliament, yes, but it was mainly about the supremacy of our court over the ECJ and the sovereignty of our common law over EU diktat (directives and regulations). John Timbrell is quite right - common law is superior to statute law. Those are our British fundamental human rights (set out in documents like the Magna Carta) and they are a damn sight better than the ECHR human rights protecting immigrant criminals. Our Head of State is a symbol of the inalienable common law rights of every British citizen. Remoaners you are rumbled. I look forward to the judiciary getting back their powers and the balance of powers being reset for the better. Authority in its proper place. What's not to like?
