Dear Mr Brooke-Taylor,

Don't be too sure of my reactions. I am not at all enraged, or even surprised, by your comments. It's regrettably a very common polemical device amongst hardcore EU-apologists to attribute violent negative emotions, unworthy motives and intellectual debility to those whom they happen to disagree with. In fact, the things that pass for arguments from them - on this website as elsewhere - generally consist of little else. It is a shame, though, to see such tactics from one of your years and professional standing.
