Maybe that because a very large percentage of the claims presented for RTA accidents on the MOJ portal are disproportionally low value minor claims where impact is minimal if non existent.
In my 5 years dealing with these claims I genuinely believe 99% of these claims were exaggerated if not fraudulent but claimant solicitors knew and know its not cost effective to challenge those 99% (which is something Aviva are now successfully doing).
So yes you are right most insurance companies don't trust 99% of the low value claims presented for numerous reasons but those reasons are only allowed to exist and are indeed encouraged by claimant solicitors or their "admin" department you can never trace but will call you 3 times a day advising you to claim and that the insurers have set aside "£1000 for you to claim"...its laughable and is now actually being traced back to a few so called respectable Claimant firms
